    This course is suitable for those with Highers, or who have completed the Higher syllabus or have successfully completed a relevant non-advanced College course. For those returning to education, life skills and experience in the workplace may allow entry subject to availability.

  • Description:

    Hospitality is a growth industry both nationally and internationally. At present it employs over 2 million people and there is a skills shortage of managers in the industry.

    This national course builds technical skills and knowledge in a broad range of subjects. Contents of this course include The Hospitality Industry, Hospitality Supervision, Hospitality Financial and Control Systems, Food and Beverage Service and Food production Processes.

  • Who is the Course for?

    Anyone wishing to obtain a qualification to work at supervisory/management level in the Hospitality industry. Study options include part-time day release.

  • How will I be Assessed?

    This course is mainly assessed on a continuous basis and does not include an external end-of-course examination. Coursework takes the form of essays, reports, presentations, case studies and practical projects. All the assessment of student work is undertaken by College staff.
