- Description:
This is a wide-ranging course covering the theoretical and practical aspects of biological and chemical sciences. It is intended both for those candidates wishing to find employment in the science industries, or to progress to further (degree level) study. The course is broadly equivalent to the first two years of a science degree programme in chemical or life sciences. The course structure covers essential scientific knowledge and principles in sciences, and also includes a large amount of training in essential practical skills and modern instrumentation. On completion of the HND, candidates are able to gain direct entry to 3rd year on a range of University Degree programs.
The course is also available to be taken on a part-time basis, and is suitable for those currently employed at technician level in scientific fields.
