• Course Structure:
  

  This course has been specially designed to meet the requirements of applicants who already possess an HND in Multimedia (or similar award), by providing a two year top-up programme leading to an honours degree. The course will extend your existing skills in multimedia and equip you with advanced skills in designing, developing and implementing multimedia systems, providing you with appropriate knowledge and skills in allied subject areas such as graphical design, information visualisation, database development and interface development. The course will also cover such topics as component based software development, and the use of web technologies in delivering multimedia systems. Through the use of electives and projects, the course will also provide opportunities for you to select and study topics of special interest within the broad context of multimedia, tailoring your learning to your interests and requirements.   

• Placement:
  

  Courses have an optional 16 week paid placement during the summer between Years 3 and 4.

• Career Opportunities:
  

  It is expected that graduates of this course will work as multimedia developers in the information services departments of large organisations, in the publishing industry, in organisations involved in training and education, and as web developers in a variety of areas that require multimedia design skills, such as online communities, internet and intranet information systems, e-commerce and e-marketing.
