Having left school thirty-seven years ago with no qualifications, Grandmother-of-seven-Katrina Stewart found the idea of going back into education very daunting. However, following encouragement from family and friends she decided to enrol on the HNC Healthcare course at ABERDEEN COLLEGE.

Having worked as an auxiliary nurse for sixteen years, Katrina's ward manager first encouraged her to think about enrolling on a course.

Katrina said "The tutors at the college gave me the guidance and support for me to achieve an HNC in Health Care. Now my goal is to go on and achieve my degree in Adult Nursing from the ROBERT GORDON UNIVERSITY".

Katrina successfully gained direct entry into the second year of the RGU course and combines full-time study whilst continuing her work, on a part-time basis.
